March 21, 2018

March  21, 2018

We had a great group of ladies at our March 21 meeting!

Waiting to begin.

Marcia is conducting our meeting.

Sidney is secretary/treasurer.

Annie has been making American Girl doll clothes.

And a quilted vest.

And a beautiful quilt.  Annie says this is a scrap quilt made from salesman samples she bought from Sidney.

Shari made this sweet quilt for her granddaughter.

Gayle finished a rug.

And some pillows

And some cute little dresses

And some aprons.  Most of this was made for the Festival of Trees.

Karen's PHd.

LaRue made this from all donated materials for Bluff Fort.

Norma says this started out to be her red and white quilt, but she decided a runner was enough.

One of several quilts Norma made out of Jim's shirts for her children.

Here's another one.  They will be so valued by her children.

Deb's red and white quilt.

This quilt was made by Daphanie's daughter.  She quilted it on her own machine.

This one too.

Janet says she cleaned her sewing room and put all her PHd's in a single tub.

These will be finished for her family.

A receiving blanket for Festival of Trees

EveLynn pieced this beauty, and Gayle quilted it for her.

EveLynn says this is like a quilt her mother made.

In February, Debbie got the "Round Tuit."  She completed this king size spread for her own bed.

And a pillow sham to match.

Debbie's quilt of many colors.

And the Christmas quilt she finished for a lucky winner in her family next Christmas (when she will likely not be home).

PHd 4 and 5 for Kathy.  The blocks were finished, but they couldn't work in a single quilt, so she made two smaller ones.

PHd 6 for Kathy.  She put this one aside because the border seemed too complicated.

PHd 7 for Kathy.  It had a mistake that in the middle that she had to correct.

Jeri did a demonstration on a fun new ruler.  It creates hexagons and triangles and several other shapes.

Kaitlin is representing 4H and suggesting that she would like to help organize a Quilt Camp this year.

LaRue demonstrated a quick and handy microwave soup cozy.
