Farm Days

The GCQ enjoyed hanging out at the Lyman Farm Monday and demonstrating to the school children how to tie a quilt.  Several young girls (and a few boys) tried their hand at tying.  A charity quilt was also worked on using a utility stitch.  The children seemed to have a great time with all the farm animals and other activities available.  Patti and Bruce deserved a big hand for putting this on every other year!! Patti is a member of our guild.  Tuesday turned out to be a windy/rainy day so we weren't able to share our quilting enthusiasm.  Hopefully some of them left thinking about maybe making a quilt or blanket of their own!!!  That's the goal!!!
She's getting the hang of it!!

Janet shows how it is done

Kathleen, Bonnie and Gail work on a charity quilt showing the "utility stitch" to students

Kathy - love the hat!
Our next meeting will be a "sew weekend" on May 19 & 20.  Bring your quilts to finish for the July 4th quilt show!!
