2012 National Quilt Invitational Exhibition

The Brigham City Museum is sponsoring the 2012 National Quilt Invitational Exhibition from July 3 - August 28, 2012.

Quilt Show Highlights

The Grayson Country Quilters hosted its annual quilt show on July 4, 2012, in conjunction with other 4th of July activities, at the Blanding Wellness Center.

FUNDRAISING QUILT WINNER
The Annual Fundraising Quilt was won by Connie Wood of Blanding.  The drawing for the quilt was held following the end of the quilt show.  When notified, Connie was, ‘Shocked and Thrilled’.

This years quilt show had two categories, Favorite Adult Quilt and Favorite Youth Quilt.

Janet Wilcox worked with the Winn sisters and her grandson, Ethan Wilcox.  Ethan unfortunately broke a needle in his finger, just before the big photo shoot, but thanks to Mary Helen Palmer who  (like all good quilters)  was prepared with a surgical tweezers, pulling half out from the top, and the other part from the bottom!!






Utah State University Extension provided the facility, lunch, door prizes, personnel and break activities for the quilters.   It is a wonderful partnership and Lou Mueller and Karah Shumway were great to work with.
