State Fair Award Winner
Featuring our own Jeri Montella! Jeri received first place in Home Arts in the machine quilting category. We all knew she did great work, now the entire State of Utah is in on the news!

Irons…
This is something that only a quilter would appreciate… A display of the types of irons brought to September’s meeting!
September 17, 2011 Guild Meeting
Ila Starks, a former member of Grayson Country Quilters, taught a class on Raw Edge Appliqué. This was a working meeting and quilters brought their machines and eager attitudes to learn this technique that Ila has mastered.
Gayle Shumway and Ila Starks display completed Raw Edge Appliqué project.
Ila’s Trunk Show
After the class, Ila presented a trunk show of various quilts, purses, and baskets that she has made.

October’s Project – Supply List
- 1/3 yard of fabric (USE YOUR SCRAPS!) They turn out darling!!!
- 50 feet of cotton clothesline (This will make two small baskets or one medium sized basket)
- White thread – lots of it!
- Medium size Binder Clip or something similar to clip to rope/fabric (see photo below)
- Sewing Machine (I use a size 16 needle, but this isn’t required)
- scissors
