January Sew-a-Thon

Our first meeting of 2018 was a sew weekend.  The weather was just turning cooler and it was a great time to gather with quilting friends and get caught up (or start) projects.  A few ladies worked on their red and white quilts for the July show.  We will have a special section of the show just for red/white quilts.  It should be quite stunning!!  Our president Sally Lyman was unable to attend as her husband was in the hospital in Salt Lake.  We all sent our thoughts and prayers to them for a speedy recovery.  We missed her laughter!!  Her assistant Marcia Johnson updated us on the years activities planned.  We all have to commit to finishing our PHD (projects half done) to earn prizes at the end of the year.  There are so many - where do we start????  Lots of good food kept us nourished so we could sew into the night.  Yummy taco soup was served for our evening meal (like we really needed more food!)

Our next meeting will be February 21st.  Please join our Guild if you are a quilter in our area!!!  Dues are $20 - we have so much fun!!!  All levels of quilters/sewers are welcome.  We meet the third Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the Blanding Library - unless we have a special sew weekend or activity.
