Quilt Show - 4th of July 2015
It seems that it is always the same people who help put the July 4th Quilt Show together - this is a huge undertaking, esp for those of us who have cracking backs and bones! Thank you to the families of Kathy Hurst, Gail & Worthy Glover, Debbie Christiansen, EveLyn Perkins, Gayle Marian, Nancy Kimmerle, Shari Guymon, Janet Wilcox, Kathleen Lyman and Deb Bayles's nephews for all the muscle in carrying the tables, chairs and stands up & down all those stairs! Deb Bayles, Debbie Christiansen, Cathy Cosby, & Kathleen Lyman was the committee this year. I wish I had taken a picture of all these old, young people that helped make this a great success.
Kathy Hurst spearheaded this years raffle quilt, the fabric came from members stashes, members took on piecing the blocks together. It turned out beautiful. Janet Wilcox was our ticket sales manager and she did an awesome job!!!
We had ladies from the Monticello Quilt Guild come down and judge our quilts, Thank you Robin Garner, Tauna Larson, Sharon Wangelin, & Marie Wigginton. Robin stated that it was a difficult task because there were so many beautiful quilts. Here are the ribbon winners this year.
We also hosted the 4H Club Quilt Camp at the Quilt Show this year, we have some future designers among us.
Deb Bayles spearheaded a Guild Challenge, so far there is just the following 3 quilts. The concept was the middle is the same but needed to change it up to the finish product.
Now enjoy all the beautiful work of some very talented men and women of our community.
Well as you can see it was a SUCCESS.
