Eight guild members: The presidency, plus Norma, Eve Lyn, Robin, and Karen met on April 4 at Janet's. Some worked on finishing the 4th of July quilt, and the others began the Quilt of Valor, getting all the blocks done! It was a great day of accomplishments.

Material Requirements for April 20th's Meeting...
Deb Bayles will be teaching a simplified Table Runner technique, Tube to Tablerunner. This is the technique she was taught in a class by Caryl Jensen last year.
April Table Runner Material needed:
Instructor--Debbie Bayles
A. 6.5 inches WOF (44") main fabric - 1 strip
B. 2 inches WOF - accent - 2 strips
C. 1 inch WOF - second accent - 1 strip
(B & C should stand out, but compliment A)
There are borders (1 or 2) also, which usually are done with the accent strip colors. I believe you can do the borders with 3 strips (I did a 1" followed by a 2").
The back is done with either the main fabic or one of the borders. Could do anything complimenting the runner too (plain)
(When I took the class, we brought 1 yard of each fabic we liked. Then we made 3 table runners. I think they should just try the technique before buying material. If they have 3 fabrics they like and can use 3 table runners (gifts?) then great. But the main thing they need is the list above in bold. I can talk about embelishments. I'll have to make a sample up as I gave all mine away as gifts. Maybe I'll do an Easter or 4th of July theme or both if i have the time.)
